Project P.R.I.S.M.
Project P.R.I.S.M. (Partnerships in the Revitalization of Instruction in Science through Museums) is based on the knowledge and results generated by T.R.I.P.S. Project T.R.I.P.S. has proven to be enormously successful, with participants having formed some very effective, close-working educational partnerships with local schools.
Project PRISM has allowed the Bronx Zoo to extend the network of school/ ISI partnerships working together to improve science education. PRISM was designed to integrate additional, and in many cases, smaller, informal science institutions (ISIs) into the science reform agenda. Six T.R.I.P.S. institutions recruited other ISIs from their regions for participation in PRISM. The experienced T.R.I.P.S. ISIs have served as institutional mentors for the PRISM institutions.
